The Great Pumpkin Recipes
It’s that time of year again when we start putting pumpkin in everything! It’s a fun way to get kids in the kitchen, and to get them eating so much of this nutritious vegetable. Pumpkin is full of antioxidants, and makes anything you cook turn orange! How fun is that? You can roast a whole pumpkin, and show the kids where the canned version really comes from. Or you can serve it straight from the can with a spoon, like my daughter prefers! If you are somewhere in the middle, here are some great pumpkin recipes to try!
-Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins: This simple recipe incorporates whole wheat flour for a healthier treat.
-Pumpkin Pancakes: These pancakes can be made with fresh or canned pumpkin, and with or without chocolate chips.
-Pumpkin Scones: There is nothing cozier than a scone and a warm drink this time of year!
-Pumpkin Cookies: Pumpkin cookies and milk, yum!
-Pumpkin Soup: This soup can be served in an actual pumpkin.
-Pumpkin Chili: This is a dish that can last through a few meals.
-Pumpkin Milkshake: It’s pumpkin pie in a glass.
-Pumpkin Pie: This pie is not just for Thanksgiving anymore!
So get out those pumpkin pie spices and start cooking! Seasonings for the season!
